FLOWERING-A JOURNEY

Have you ever seen a flower before budding? It takes days to complete flowering; it is a slow process. Almost as if, it gives itself the time to adjust to the world before exposing itself completely to the world, and how it works.

The first two weeks of this fellowship remind me of a flower in the process of flowering. It was an over-whelming journey and as I write this blog right before the last session, I feel emotional.

What was the experience like?

This journey of months was a brilliant experience. It tested me in a lot of ways; the challenge was to get rid of everything that holds me back from reaching my maximum potential. Now, I obviously do not expect a 3 months fellowship to eliminate everything I fear, but I definitely believe it can aid in the process. IT DID! 3 months later, I feel like I am a changed person; the change is not massive and prominent, but it is there and I can feel it.

WHAT WERE YOUR FEELINGS ABOUT THE JOURNEY AT THE START?

I was really skeptical, like really very skeptical. I was worried it would be a waste of time, or I’d drop out after a month or so. I remember how scared I was in my first session. Now, as I write this during the last session, I see how far I’ve come.

WHAT WERE THE THINGS THAT YOU LEARNT IN THE FIRST 2 WEEKS:

  • You have to push yourself to your limits.
  • I had to really brainstorm my smart goals and it gave me a lot of perspectives.

WHAT DID YOU DISCOVER ABOUT YOURSELF IN THIS JOURNEY?

I discovered that everything I doubt myself for, I can do it really very well. There are also a lot of things that I wanted to get rid of but I realized they are deeply embedded into me and still need a lot of work done. To end it all, I will always remember this journey and the people I came across in it.
